Lisa Uranga of FullGas Cycling Fit Studio will present to us on bike fit. To accommodate the presentation, the meeting will start at 7:00pm instead of the usual start time. Also, the meeting will be held at the Lake Highlands Tower (also known as the Prosperity Bank Building), courtesy of one of our sponsors, Steve Howard and Turner Vedrenne and Howard.

Please join us when our very own Sue Beckham, a PhD exercise physiologist and corrective exercise specialist, will lead and present to us, during our February 9th meeting.

We hope everyone has gotten in a few rides during the mild temperatures we have had thus far this year… which ends today unfortunately.

See you this Monday, January 12, for our monthly meeting at 7:30 at the White Rock Alehouse.

Prior to the meeting we plan ride a loop of White Rock Lake. We will depart the Alehouse at 6:35 PM. Please join in !

Please join everyone for the August Mirage Meeting at the White Rock Alehouse at 7:30 PM on the 12th.

Be especially vigilant to drink enough fluids while riding this month! 

Please join in for this Monday’s Memorial Day Holiday Ride.

The ride will start at TP Hill at 8 AM on Monday May 27. The 34-mile route goes through Oak Cliff, following creeks and greenbelts, with a zoo flyby. The ride will be a conversational moderately pace. However, since this is not a no-drop ride, everyone is encouraged to load the route into their GPS device of choice (just in case!).

The annual Ride of Silence is May 15th. This is a worldwide bike ride started in Dallas by Chris Phelan.  The ride, held during National Bike Month, aims to raise the awareness of motorists, police and city officials that cyclists have a legal right to the public roadways. The ride is also a chance to show respect for and honor the lives of those who have been killed or injured while cycling.

The ride starts at 7pm from the big parking lot between Fisher and Branchfield on West Lawther. The route goes clockwise around White Rock Lake at 10-12 mph with riders lined up in a 2×2 format.

The ride leaves the parking lot heading north on West Lawther, crosses the lake on Mockingbird bridge, re-enters the park staying on the road/path on the east side down to the spillway and around on the path to TP Hill, where riders will get back onto West Lawther and return to the starting point.

We will ride silently. Wear a red armband if you’ve been hit by a car, or remember any riders who have been hit in a way that is meaningful for you.
Bring blinking lights. Wear a helmet.
